ON-CAMPUS LEARNING ON-CAMPUS LEARNING Elegantia’s English Panel features close collaboration and high progressiveness.
We specialize in various areas of English language teaching based on a
wide range of language-related interests. Our commitment to the enhancement
of English language studies is well explained in the Department
Profile of 2011-2012. As an effective measure for handling learner diversity, split class teaching in Forms 1 – 2 has been adopted. Students’ mixed abilities are well minimized and optimized rather than criticized so that both capabilities and competencies of different levels can be explored to their utmost. Besides, speed-up and enhancement groups are organised after school for different forms for the sake of providing tailor-made support for different student groups.
Furthermore, theme-based language arts topics and genres have been integrated
in the curriculum. Study of poetic devices and human responses to literary
works of both print and non-print forms have been introduced in the cross-discipline
projects. The cross-discipline concern is extended to the cross-form mode
and an initiation cross-form bridging project serves as a guideline every
year for all English teachers and students. As an illustration, please
