Principal and Vice-Principals

Principal

Mr. Ho Hon Kuen (B.A., P.C. Ed., M.A., MH)
He has been in the field of secondary school education for 30 years, with extensive experience in school administration and helped establish Elegantia College.  He has always concerned issues regarding student growth, teacher professional development, parent education and so on. He is also an experienced education columnist, and has been frequently invited to deliver feature speeches on education by secondary schools and tertiary institutions. He has written many books on education, including to Teach with No Fear, Led by Bright Sun - A Reflection on Life Education, I Too Care, Education Tea House, Wholly on Education and so on. He was awarded a Medal of Honour by the Hong Kong Government in 2000.

 

Vice-Principal

Ms. Chan Yuk Yin (MEd,MA,BA,PGDE)
She has been in the education field for over 20 years. She is mainly involved in teaching Chinese Language, with rich experience in the development and implementation of the Chinese Language Curriculum. Currently, she is responsible for overseeing the development of different subjects at school and she is also the Panel Head of the Chinese Department.

Vice-Principal

Ms. Pang Yau Ting (B.A., P.C. Ed., M.A., Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence)
Being a teacher for over 20 years, she has always put students’ moral education in top priority. Having been the head of the Discipline Committee before and the head of Moral and Civic Education Committee for over 20 years, she is experienced in helping teenagers develop proper values. In 2002, she was invited by RTHK TV show Hong Kong Connection to shoot the feature To Teach the Right Students or to Teach the Students Right? The programme was widely adopted by the Education Bureau and teacher training institutions in induction programmes for new teachers. She was awarded Distinguished Teaching Award for Life Education by Ming Pao in 2003 and 2004, Excellent Teacher Award by Overseas Chinese Foundation in 2005, Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence in 2010. Currently, she is also a Teaching Consultant of Hong Kong Institute of Education.

Vice-Principal

Ms. Wat Pui Yi (B.A., P.C. Ed., M.A.)
She has been teaching Chinese Language for over 20 years, with over 10 years’ experience in implementing Project Learning in junior forms. She has vast knowledge in developing teaching materials and strategies. She is in charge of academic affairs at school and is especially experienced in cultivating a conducive learning atmosphere for students and catering learner diversity. She was also attained the Excellent Teacher Award.
